Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cor Gonter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cor Gonter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Remy Bonjasky! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonter closes the distance and clinches. Gonter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bonjasky has him pressed against the cage. Bonjasky is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bonjasky prevents the takedown attempt.

Gonter wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cor Gonter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonter stalling.
Bonjasky is trying to force a seperation but Gonter has the dominant position. Bonjasky gets underhooks to prevent Gonter's takedown attempt.
Gonter breaks from the clinch.
Gonter throws a series of punches but Bonjasky avoids them all with ease. Bonjasky darts in and clinches Gonter up against the cage. Gonter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bonjasky clinches but Gonter breaks the clinch and Gonter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gonter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bonjasky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bonjasky avoiding damage as Gonter throws knees to the body.
Bonjasky tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bonjasky has Gonter pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bonjasky pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gonter tumbling to the mat - Bonjasky dives into Gonter's guard. Bonjasky throwing strikes from guard but Gonter blocks nicely. Gonter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bonjasky. Bonjasky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bonjasky stands up from guard. Let's bang! Gonter is breathing heavily. Gonter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bonjasky tries to avoid it but Gonter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bonjasky to the ground. Bonjasky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bonjasky looks to clinch and Gonter counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cor Gonter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bonjasky throws a body kick that misses. Gonter avoids the head kick by Bonjasky.
Gonter rushes Bonjasky and presses him up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Gonter's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bonjasky has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bonjasky wants a takedown but no success here.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bonjasky utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bonjasky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bonjasky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gonter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bonjasky won't allow Gonter to get back to his feet. Gonter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bonjasky is in close to Gonter's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bonjasky gets to his feet - Gonter follows without any prompting. Bonjasky closes the distance and pushes Gonter back into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky tries to circle away but Gonter has him pinned against the cage. Gonter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bonjasky tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bonjasky tries to break the clinch but Gonter is controlling the position. Bonjasky lands a knee to the body.
Bonjasky pulls Gonter into guard.
Bonjasky pushes Gonter off and gets back to his feet.
Bonjasky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bonjasky has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gonter is proving hard to escape from. Gonter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Remy Bonjasky dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bonjasky shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gonter's guard. Bonjasky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bonjasky is looking to work some ground and pound but Gonter has wrist control. Gonter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonjasky manages to get himself to full guard.
Bonjasky keeping moving, preventing Gonter from controlling successfully. Bonjasky wants to stand up but Gonter is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonjasky looking for a sweep. Not yet Bonjasky, not yet. Gonter trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonjasky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gonter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bonjasky swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gonter wants to control from the top but Bonjasky keeps moving. Bonjasky working for a triangle but Gonter defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky wants to stand up but Gonter is controlling him. Bonjasky has his foot on Gonter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gonter works his way back into a safe position though. Gonter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gonter wants to control from the top but Bonjasky keeps moving. Gonter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bonjasky is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky wants to stand up but Gonter is controlling him. Bonjasky is looking for a triangle but Gonter pushes his legs off easily.
Gonter trying to control but Bonjasky is working from the bottom. Gonter wants to get up but he can't break Bonjasky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bonjasky kicks Gonter off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bonjasky counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bonjasky wants to get up but he can't break Gonter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bonjasky wants to control from the top but Gonter keeps moving. Gonter looking for a sweep. Not yet Gonter, not yet. Gonter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gonter throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.

Remy Bonjasky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Bonjasky throws a sloppy head kick and Gonter moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bonjasky closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gonter did well to prevent Bonjasky getting side control. Bonjasky postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Gonter to stand up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bonjasky wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bonjasky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gonter was covering up waiting for the punch and Bonjasky finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gonter looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bonjasky puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Bonjasky lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Bonjasky passes to full mount! Gonter wants to control but Bonjasky is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonter is working to get back to half guard.
Bonjasky with a couple of short strikes. BOOM! Bonjasky connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bonjasky lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gonter hang on? Bonjasky scoring with strikes but Gonter is staying in there. Bonjasky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gonter is looking to escape. Gonter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Bonjasky looking to finish Gonter with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gonter! Bonjasky with the ground and pound from mount. Bonjasky landing punches. Gonter can't escape the position.
Bonjasky landing strikes, looking to finish! Bonjasky lands a heavy elbow. Gonter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gonter sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Gonter is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bonjasky lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Remy Bonjasky is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gonter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bonjasky lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gonter hang on? Bonjasky with shots to the head and body - Gonter looks very uncomfortable down there. Gonter working to try and regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Remy Bonjasky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bonjasky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
