Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lamb Chop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lamb Chop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Dodd!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chop looks to land a combination. Dodd sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Chop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chop scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Chop!


It looks like Ben Dodd has been cut.

Chop has managed to clinch.
Chop with a knee to the head.
Chop with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Dodd on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Chop gets underhooks to prevent Dodd's takedown attempt.
Chop lands a knee to the body.
Dodd fails to pull guard.
Chop is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dodd is defending well for now.
Dodd wants to get back to striking at distance but Chop won't allow it.
Dodd avoiding damage as Chop throws knees to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dodd - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Chop throws a knee to the head but misses.

Dodd breaks from the clinch.
Dodd looks to clinch
and Chop counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dodd thinking.
Chop misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dodd.
Lamb Chop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Dodd.
Chop tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Dodd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chop's guard.

Chop tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chop is looking to stand up but Dodd isn't so interested in that idea.
Dodd lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Dodd wants to get up but he can't break Chop's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chop wants to stand and escape but Dodd is having none of it.
Chop is breathing heavily.
Dodd with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Chop is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dodd dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chop is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dodd decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Chop wants to clinch

and Dodd counters with a shoot takedown. Chop fights it but they end up in guard.

Dodd gets to his feet - Chop follows without any prompting.

Dodd drives through with a takedown into guard.

Chop pushes Dodd off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
A combination from Dodd does no damage.
Chop lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dodd circles away quickly and effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dodd lands a nice looking body shot.
Dodd slips a jab from Chop.
Dodd misses with a leg kick
and Chop counters with a two punch combo.
Dodd cracks Chop with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Dodd drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chop is trying to keep Dodd in close.
Chop is looking to stand up but Dodd isn't so interested in that idea.
Chop keeping moving, preventing Dodd from controlling successfully.
Chop tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dodd is standing up over Chop. Chop looks to escape but Dodd dives into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chop is trying to get back to his feet.
Chop bucks up and tries to throw Dodd off but instead Dodd has got his back!
I would not like to be Chop right now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Will Dodd go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dodd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chop pinned against the cage. Chop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dodd lets loose with a powerful body kick. Chop will feel that in the morning.
Chop moves in looking to clinch but Dodd pushes him off.

Chop fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dodd, pushing him back against the cage.
Chop misses with a punch to the body.
Dodd blocks an elbow strike.
Chop misses with a knee strike.
Chop unloads a knee to the mid-section.
A knee to the head by Chop.
Chop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dodd.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Dodd manages to break the clinch.
Chop scores with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dodd is defended easily by Chop.

Dodd feints and as Chop raises his hands in defense, Dodd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dodd content to stall in guard here.
Dodd pushes down on Chop's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dodd trying to control the action but Chop is working from the bottom.
Chop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dodd on the ground.
Dodd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chop kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dodd tries to stand but can't do so whilst Chop controls his leg.
Dodd seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dodd tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Chop.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chop is looking to control Dodd's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chop avoid being mounted?
Chop preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dodd misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lamb Chop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Dodd.
Chop goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dodd shoots in but no luck this time.
Chop wants to clinch but Dodd slips to the side

and Dodd counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Chop putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Dodd in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from Chop.
Chop stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Dodd is trying to break free.

Dodd tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chop just stands there and leans against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dodd misses with a knee strike.
Chop throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dodd blocks it with crossed arms.

Dodd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dodd closes the distance looking to clinch
and Chop counters with a nice body shot.
Chop tries to clinch up.
Chop fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dodd fails with the takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Chop closes the distance and clinches.

Dodd successfully pulls guard.
Chop won't allow Dodd to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ben Dodd will probably get the nod - 10:9.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Chop throws a head kick that Dodd semi-blocks.
Chop tries to clinch there but Dodd circles away.
Chop thows a left - swing and a miss!

Chop misses with a head kick.
Dodd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chop closes the distance but Dodd moves to the side

and Dodd counters with a takedown into side control.
Chop is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dodd is controlling him well.
Dodd throws an elbow but Chop slips to the side and avoids it well.
Chop struggling a bit here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Chop tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dodd wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Ben Dodd has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dodd trying to control the action but Chop is working from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Chop scores with a decent looking hook.
Lamb Chop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dodd closes the distance but Chop moves to the side
and Chop counters with a straight right hand.
Chop throws a head kick that misses.
Dodd closes the distance looking to clinch

and Chop moves into the clinch.
Dodd managing to block the knees to the body from Chop.
Chop using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dodd has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lamb Chop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Dodd.

Chop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dodd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chop throws a head kick that half lands.
Dodd cracks the inside of Chop's front leg.
Dodd swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Chop has taken the fight to the clinch.
Chop landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Dodd on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Nice body punch from Dodd.

Chop wants to control from the top but Dodd keeps moving.
Chop would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dodd doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dodd is on top in guard.
Chop is controlling Dodd's posture.
Chop wants to stand but Dodd is controlling the position.
Dodd forces his way into half guard.
Lamb Chop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ben Dodd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dodd winds up and cracks Chop with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ben Dodd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dodd winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
