The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Giant looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Giant is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Giant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Giant throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Giant stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Giant wants it to stay on the feet.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Giant sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Giant lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Giant shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Giant but Giant pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Giant with a poor takedown
and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Giant!
Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Giant is forced to tap! Great finish!
