Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koala Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse James! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bear. Bear dodges the punch combination from James.
James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bear sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bear scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Jesse James has been cut. Bear darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bear is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, James has managed to free his arm - good work. James is trying to stand.
Bear is trying to work for a kimura but James is defending well.
Bear tries to pass the half guard into mount. James knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bear prevents James from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round. James wants to control but Bear postures up. James taking a bit of punishment here - Bear scoring with strikes. James prevents Bear from moving into mount. Bear is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, James has escaped the position, nice work there. James is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bear has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bear is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Bear tries to advance to mount but James instead regains half guard. Bear tries to pass the half guard into mount. James knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bear is working for a submission of some sort.
Bear looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. James wants to get back to his feet. Bear works his foot free and advances to mount. Bear wants to control the pace but James is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James wants to hold on but Bear pushes him away. Bear goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now James is on top in guard.

Bear isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. James stacks Bear on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by James! Bear pushes James away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, James gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bear is breathing heavily. Bear struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bear is trying to get back to half guard. James working away. Bear is trying to get back to half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. James slaps away a takedown attempt from Bear, before circling back to the center of the mat. James throws a nice outside leg kick. James is looking to clinch. James dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bear. That did some damage! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James misses with a few strikes there.
Bear swats away the attempt to clinch by James. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jesse James will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jesse James's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bear's sensitive parts. Bear blocks a head kick by James.
Bear takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Koala Bear has been cut. James throws a series of punches but Bear avoids them all with ease. James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fighters circling - Bear throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Koala Bear is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James misses with a wild combination.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bear swats him away and circles back towards the center. James misses with a body kick. Bear scores with a body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. James throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bear throws a leg kick and James counters with a three punch combo that has Bear backing up. Bear nods at James to acknowledge the strikes. No joy there for Bear, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bear scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bear connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between James's hands. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bear. Bear digs a good body shot into James's ribs. James takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. James avoids a punch combination nicely.

James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Koala Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bear thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. James regains half guard, as Bear was trying to land strikes. James blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bear. Bear is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bear is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. James has one foot on Bear's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. James wants to clinch. Bear cracks a nice hook into James's ribs. Bear misses with a hook. James ducked under it nicely. Bear sizes up James with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Bear misses with a combination
and James moves into the clinch. James with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A short body shot lands from Bear as the two fighters clinch.

Bear stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. James is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Bear breaks from the clinch.
James blocks a leg kick. Jesse James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Koala Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bear misses with a leg kick and James counters with a leg kick. Bear throws a looping overhand right but James ducks down to avoid it. Bear looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely. Bear tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and James is able to avoid easily. Jesse James seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bear swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by James. James throws and low kick but Bear moves out of range easily. A nice leg kick lands there from James. A slow jab from Bear misses its intended target. James connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. James misses with a looping right. Bear throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice defenses there by Bear. Bear decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bear is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bear looks to land a body kick but James moved away. James tries to clinch but Bear moves out of range. James misses with a looping left. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bear.
Bear looks to throw the jab but James is out of range. Bear is looking to score with low kicks. James wants to clinch up but Bear keeps it at a distance. Bear connects with a crisp jab. Bear tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Bear. James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bear's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bear duly obliges. James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bear finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head. James getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bear takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

James throws a front kick aimed at Bear's knee but Bear avoids it well. A left and a right from Bear both land. Nice combination. James checks the leg kick. Bear cracks a nice hook into James's ribs. Bear lands with an uppercut that bounces James off the cage and back into rage. Bear shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard. Bear stands and throws James's legs to the side, diving into side control. James struggling a bit here. Bear has an Americana. James didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bear is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bear hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Koala Bear!
