Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bobby fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). bobby fisher is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mir as he avoids it easily.
fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mir's waist but Mir gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing fisher off to one side.
bobby fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
fisher closes the distance and clinches.
Mir has dropped down and is working for a takedown. fisher is trying to keep an underhook but Mir manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Mir seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
fisher is looking to improve his position.

fisher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mir is looking to escape.
fisher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mir kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mir is looking to improve his position but fisher isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
fisher is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mir can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mir feints and as fisher raises his hands in defense, Mir changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
fisher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mir is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. fisher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mir's back instead.

Mir is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake fisher off. It looks like it's working - fisher slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Mir displaying calm under pressure there.

Some bone on bone action there as fisher checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
