Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Paniagua!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paniagua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Paniagua throws a strike but Duncan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Paniagua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Duncan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Paniagua is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duncan is aware though and is defending well.
Duncan looking to sit in guard and control but Paniagua gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duncan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paniagua throws out the jab.

Paniagua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duncan tries to avoid it but Paniagua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duncan to the ground. Duncan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duncan tries to free his leg and advance position but Paniagua is retaining full guard.

Paniagua had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Duncan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Paniagua Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Duncan's back instead.

Paniagua throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Duncan is taking damage to the body and head.

Paniagua connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Duncan to escape the position.

Duncan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Paniagua lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Duncan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Duncan tries for a takedown but Paniagua sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Duncan counters with a three punch combo that has Paniagua backing up. Paniagua nods at Duncan to acknowledge the strikes.
Paniagua misses with an uppercut. Duncan saw that one coming.
Paniagua moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Duncan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Paniagua fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Duncan sprawls well initially but Paniagua persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Duncan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Paniagua connects with a nice short shot to Duncan's temple.

Paniagua is nestled in close to Duncan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Paniagua thows a huge punch but Duncan dodges it nicely.

Paniagua has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duncan is working away from the top position though.

Duncan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Paniagua looking for a triangle here. Duncan is fighting it but it looks tight! Paniagua pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Duncan is tapping out - this one is all over!
