The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKo closes the distance and clinches up with Peaslee, looking for a takedown. McKo pushes Peaslee against the cage but Peaslee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McKo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peaslee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McKo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Peaslee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
McKo throws a sloppy head kick and Peaslee moves out of range easily.

and Peaslee counters with a left and a right that stings McKo.

McKo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peaslee can do anything to dispel that myth.

McKo is working for a guillotine from mount but Peaslee frees his head quite easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Study McKo will probably get the nod.

Peaslee swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McKo is now in Peaslee's guard. A big mistake from Peaslee there, giving up the dominant position!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McKo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well Peaslee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
