Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clayton Dewall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Ott! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ott is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dewall moves into range and clinches up with Ott. Dewall lands an elbow inside that Ott shrugs off.
It looks like Jake Ott has been cut. Ott working hard to break the clinch. Dewall working Ott over with knees to the body. Ott is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Dewall lands a damaging elbow. Dewall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ott is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dewall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ott closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dewall takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Dewall is trying to get back to his feet. Dewall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dewall tries to get out of the position. Ott scoring with punches from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ott passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dewall! Dewall is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ott lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Dewall is trying to stand. Ott working Dewall over with strikes here. Ott breaks from Dewall's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ott looking to finish Dewall with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dewall! Dewall taking shots to the head. Ott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Dewall wants to try and get back to his feet. Ott lands a heavy elbow. Ott looks gassed! Ott scoring with strikes but Dewall is staying in there. Dewall is bucking up trying to escape but Ott cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Dewall is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Ott lands a big shot there that rocks Dewall but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Dewall's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ott landing strikes from the mount. A nice elbow there by Ott. Ott landing strikes from the mount and Dewall is in trouble! Ott wants to control the pace but Dewall is squirming around nicely. Dewall is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ott lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dewall hang on? Dewall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ott on the ground. Ott working Dewall over with strikes here. Dewall is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Ott is working for a guillotine from mount but Dewall frees his head quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Poor strikes thrown by Ott there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ott misses with a head shot. Dewall wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ott.
You get the feeling that Dewall really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Ott landing strikes from the mount and Dewall is in trouble! Dewall is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The referee warns Dewall that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dewall is trying to stand. Dewall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ott. Dewall is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Ott wants to finish this one by submission but Dewall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ott. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ott dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake Ott's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dewall darts in and clinches Ott up against the cage. Ott is working for takedown but Dewall is calmly controlling the position for now. Dewall manages to break the clinch.

Dewall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ott, pushing him back against the cage. Ott wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dewall misses with a knee to the head. Ott has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ott is trying to break free. Dewall working Ott over with knees to the body. Dewall lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ott is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Dewall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Clayton Dewall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dewall tries to clinch but Ott is having none of it. Ott darts in and clinches Dewall up against the cage. Dewall tries to circle away but Ott has him pinned against the cage. Ott wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Dewall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ott moves in looking to clinch but Dewall pushes him off. Horrible takedown by Ott or perhaps it was just good defense by Dewall which made him look bad. Clayton Dewall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Ott. Ott misses with a few strikes there.
Ott misses with a looping left. Ott wants to clinch and Dewall counters with a low kick, right behind Ott 's knee. Ott swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dewall counters with a flying knee. Nice. Ott slips a jab and a cross from Dewall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ott throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dewall's waist but Dewall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ott off to one side. Dewall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ott, pushing him back against the cage. Ott takes an elbow to the forehead. Ott drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dewall pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dewall goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ott fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dewall scores with a three punch combo!

Ott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dewall moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ott tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dewall paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dewall has closed the distance and engaged Ott in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dewall tries to land a knee to the head but Ott blocks with his arms.
Dewall throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Dewall unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dewall walks away with a smile on his face. Ott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dewall tries to close the distance and clinch but Ott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dewall gets caught flat footed, as Ott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dewall keeping full guard, as Ott tries to pass. Ott prevents Dewall from getting back to his feet. Ott scoring with punches to the head and body. Ott wants to pass the guard but Dewall is keeping the position. Ott keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dewall's head. Ott with a nice head shot there. Ott postures up in Dewall's guard and throws a big left but Dewall blocks it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ott moves in looking to clinch but Dewall pushes him off. Dewall lands a high kick!
Dewall lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ott will feel that in the morning. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ott is defended easily by Dewall. Ott tries to clinch but Dewall is having none of it. Dewall moves into range and clinches up with Ott. Dewall lands a good knee to the midsection. Ott won't want to take too many of those. Ott drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ott is trying to drag Dewall to the mat but Dewall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ott is looking to break free of the clinch but Dewall has double underhooks. Dewall breaks the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dewall plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Ott moves in looking to clinch but Dewall pushes him off. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ott. Clayton Dewall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Ott.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dewall blocks a leg kick. Ott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ott takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dewall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dewall gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Ott swings wildly with an uppercut but Dewall uses good head movement to avoid it. Dewall with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Ott lands a left hand.
Dewall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ott.
Dewall creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Dewall prevents the takedown attempt.
Ott tries to break the clinch but Dewall is controlling the position. Dewall lands an elbow inside that Ott shrugs off. Ott takes a knee right on the jaw!

Ott dives in and grabs Dewall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dewall pushes down on Ott's head and hops out. Ott shoots in and bounces Dewall off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ott stands up over Dewall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dewall has his feet on Ott's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Ott showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dewall.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dewall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ott misses the shot to the body. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ott. Dewall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ott, pushing him back against the cage. Dewall working Ott over with knees to the body. Ott is looking to break free of the clinch but Dewall has double underhooks. Ott wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ott tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dewall smiles and moves away.
Ott tries to clinch up. Dewall wants to clinch. Ott with a poor takedown and Dewall makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ott really felt that one! The fight moves into the clinch position. Dewall misses with a knee to the head. Ott drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dewall pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dewall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that's the end of the fight! Clayton Dewall showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dewall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
