The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Killroy sprawls well. Killroy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferreira gets slowly back to his feet.
Killroy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferreira moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Killroy stuffs the takedown attempt from Ferreira. Ferreira gets slowly back to his feet.
Killroy misses with the combination.
Killroy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killroy throws a left that rocks Ferreira and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Killroy dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ferreira regain composure!

Killroy tries to stand but Ferreira controls the position and pulls Killroy into his guard.

Killroy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferreira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ferreira tries to clinch there but Killroy circles away.

Killroy digs a good hook to Ferreira's body.
Killroy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Killroy wants it to stay on the feet.

Ferreira takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Killroy loads up on a big right hand but Ferreira slips the punch.
Killroy throws a jab when Ferreira was well out of range.
Ferreira takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Killroy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Killroy throws a body punch but Ferreira moves out of range.

Gunther Killroy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
