Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Swindells misses. Marley Swindells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Swindells looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Swindells tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Swindells trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Jones stands up and beckons Swindells to join him on the feet. Swindells is looking to clinch. Swindells wants to clinch. Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swindells fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Swindells. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Jones stands up over Swindells, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jones controlling from the top position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Swindells is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Swindells manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Swindells's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jones passes Swindells's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Swindells is defending well.
Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Swindells is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swindells is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones working over Swindells with some ground and pound. Swindells looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Swindells taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard. Swindells looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. Swindells is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Swindells is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount! Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones connects with a body shot. Jones gets a takedown into half guard. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Swindells tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jones working Swindells over with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice strikes from Jones there. Swindells is breathing heavily. Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Swindells to get to his feet. Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones stays in close to Swindells's body and controls the position. Jones gets to his feet - Swindells follows without any prompting. Swindells tries to clinch up and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Swindells didn't expect that. Jones is pushing down on Swindells's leg trying to pass to half guard. Swindells is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swindells tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones decides to stand and escape the position. Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jones content to control rather than advance. Mike Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Mike Jones just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Swindells gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Swindells for as long as he can get away with. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones stands and throws Swindells's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Jones dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
