Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jenova Specimen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Specimen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mendoza.
Mendoza avoids the head kick by Specimen.
Specimen throws a sloppy head kick and Mendoza moves out of range easily.
Specimen misses with a low kick.
Mendoza drops Specimen with a nice combination! Mendoza dives into Specimen's guard, looking to finish!
Specimen is rocked!
It looks like Jenova Specimen has been cut.
Mendoza is looking to work some ground and pound but Specimen has wrist control.

Mendoza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Specimen's guard.
Specimen is trying to get back to full guard.
Specimen seems to have got his legs back now.
Mendoza throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mendoza throws a strike but Specimen avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Specimen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mendoza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mendoza landing some decent shots from guard.

Mendoza keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Specimen's head.
Mendoza stands up over Specimen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mendoza postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Specimen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Specimen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Specimen is breathing heavily.
Specimen controls Mendoza momentarily but Mendoza frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mendoza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Specimen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mendoza tries to bum rush Specimen with a series of wild strikes but Specimen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Specimen misses with a double jab.
Specimen tries to clinch but Mendoza is having none of it.
Specimen slips a jab and a cross from Mendoza.
A combination from Mendoza does no damage.
Mendoza closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Specimen out cold! Specimen corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
