Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Gavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Gavin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kris Kringle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Gavin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Kringle! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kringle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gavin tries to avoid it but Kringle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gavin to the ground. Gavin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kringle fails to land the takedown. Kringle fails with the takedown. Tom Gavin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Kringle. Kringle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kringle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gavin to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gavin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gavin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gavin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kringle working for a triangle but Gavin defends it easily.
Gavin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gavin throwing strikes but missing. Gavin stands up over Kringle, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kringle working for a triangle but Gavin defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gavin with a nice head shot there. Gavin scoring with punches to the head and body. Kringle can't keep his opponent in guard - Gavin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kringle looks gassed! Gavin prevents Kringle from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gavin working the head and body with strikes. Gavin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Gavin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gavin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kringle is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gavin scores with a couple of nice shots. Gavin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gavin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gavin lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kringle won't allow Gavin to pass to mount. Gavin works his way into side control. Gavin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gavin is chipping away with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gavin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kringle looking for submissions off his back. Gavin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nice strikes from Gavin there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kringle has hold of Gavin's hands but Gavin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Gavin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Gavin dominated that round. That's time! Gavin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kringle tries for a takedown but Gavin circles away easily so Gavin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gavin throwing strikes from guard but Kringle blocks nicely. Gavin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gavin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gavin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Gavin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gavin scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gavin is working Kringle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Gavin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gavin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kringle has his foot on Gavin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gavin works his way back into a safe position though. Gavin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kringle preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gavin landing with the ground and pound. Kringle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gavin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gavin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gavin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kringle shoots and misses and Gavin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kringle won't be happy with that. Gavin is working Kringle over with some ground and pound from side control. Gavin tries for a kimura but Kringle is defending well. Kringle is looking to regain half guard here but Gavin keeps moving and retains side control. Gavin scores with punches from side control. Kringle taking a bit of punishment here - Gavin scoring with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gavin is trying to ground and pound but Kringle uses the momentary lack of control by Gavin to regain half guard. Gavin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kringle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kringle. Gavin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kringle has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gavin off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kringle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kringle moves into full mount! Gavin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Gavin is working hard here to advance position. Gavin throwing hammer fists to the chest of Kringle. What's that going to do exactly? Gavin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Tom Gavin dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kringle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gavin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gavin with a nice head shot there. Gavin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gavin chips away with some ground and pound. Gavin scoring with punches to the head and body. Gavin lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gavin throws a big right hand that misses. Tom Gavin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gavin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kringle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gavin has his hands clasped together but Kringle extends an breaks Gavin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kringle.
