The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathiew closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGuire circles away.
McGuire slips a jab and a cross from Mathiew.
Mathiew clinches up against the cage.
McGuire tries for a takedown. No joy.
McGuire gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mathiew.
Mathiew prevents the takedown attempt.
McGuire is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mathiew pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Zack Mathiew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom McGuire.
McGuire is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mathiew gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
McGuire is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mathiew looks for a takedown but McGuire sprawls well.
Mathiew fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGuire, pushing him back against the cage.
Mathiew has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McGuire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
McGuire wants a takedown.
Mathiew goes for a takedown in the clinch but McGuire prevents it.
Mathiew is trying to stall.

Mathiew is breathing heavily.
Mathiew has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McGuire is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
McGuire changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mathiew fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McGuire shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McGuire was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McGuire is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee warns Mathiew that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Zack Mathiew has been cut.

McGuire won't let Mathiew get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
McGuire is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mathiew can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mathiew is looking to improve his position but McGuire isn't that keen on the idea.
A nice elbow there by McGuire.
Mathiew is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGuire throwing strikes here but Mathiew is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McGuire with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Mathiew sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
McGuire is trying for a kimura here. Mathiew looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! McGuire wins by kimura!
