Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Lucius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dexter Lucius! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Thomas! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucius instigates a clinch. Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lucius decides to pull guard. Lucius avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Thomas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lucius not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lucius on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lucius tries to get out of the position. Lucius throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lucius utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lucius pulls Thomas in close to his closed guard and prevents Thomas from doing any damage or advancing position. Thomas preventing the sweep. Thomas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas tries to free his leg and advance position but Lucius is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lucius keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Jose Thomas has been cut. Thomas throws a right and a left that Lucius avoids nicely. Thomas misses with the combination.
Lucius misses with a head kick.
Thomas jabs Lucius right on the nose. Lucius blinks but takes it well. Lucius shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Thomas tries to get to full guard but Lucius has control of the leg. Lucius wants to pass the guard but Thomas is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas keeping hold of Lucius's head, controlling as best he can. Lucius is working for a submission of some sort.
Thomas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lucius.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucius is looking for a kimura here.
Thomas is trying to control but can't.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lucius has Thomas up against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A frustrated look appears on Thomas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Thomas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Come on Lucius - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Lucius is breathing heavily. Thomas is trying to force a seperation but Lucius has the dominant position. Lucius is trying to trip Thomas. He has hold of a leg but Thomas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lucius persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Lucius stopping the sweep attempt from Thomas. Lucius looking to sit in guard and control but Thomas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Lucius dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jose Thomas's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Thomas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lucius to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lucius postures up.
Thomas has his foot on Lucius's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucius works his way back into a safe position though. Lucius controlling from the top position. Thomas is breathing heavily. Lucius trying to move into half guard but instead Thomas has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucius controls Thomas momentarily but Thomas frees himself. Thomas thows a big elbow that misses. Lucius looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lucius lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Lucius has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Lucius is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lucius manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Lucius's guard. Lucius wants to stand but Thomas is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lucius looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Thomas has picked Lucius up and slammed him! Lucius can't keep hold of the triangle and Thomas manages to pass to side control! Lucius is trying to get back to half guard. Thomas in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Lucius is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jose Thomas!
