Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Marley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kent Kruth! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruth shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marley sprawls well. Marley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kruth gets slowly back to his feet. Marley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kruth looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marley lands in his opponent's guard. Marley scoring with punches to the head and body. Marley sitting in guard, not really doing much. Marley pushes down on Kruth's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marley seems to be working for a kimura but Kruth defends the submission attempt. Marley is controlling the pace.
Marley looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kruth avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marley. Marley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Marley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kruth is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kruth can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marley punching from mount but Kruth doing a good job of avoiding damage. Marley with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kruth is desperately trying to improve his position but Marley has a good base and remains in mount. Marley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kruth tries to hold on but Marley postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Marley looking to ground and pound but Kruth is blocking nicely. Kruth is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Bob Marley dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kruth fails with a takedown attempt. Kruth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marley swivels and escapes. Marley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Kent Kruth has been cut. Marley throws a right and a left that Kruth avoids nicely. Marley works over Kruth's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kruth avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kruth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marley's waist but Marley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kruth off to one side. Bob Marley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kent Kruth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth misses with a takedown attempt and Marley counters with a left and a right that stings Kruth. Marley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kruth misses with a takedown attempt and Marley counters with a one-two to the body. Kruth shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Marley counters with a lovely shot to the body. Marley shoots for a takedown but Kruth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kruth shoots in but no luck this time. Marley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bob Marley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruth doesn't succeed with the takedown and Marley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kruth shoots in looking for a takedown. Marley tries to sprawl out of it but Kruth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck with that takedown attempt from Marley. Kruth ducks under a wild hook from Marley. Kruth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marley's waist but Marley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kruth off to one side. Marley's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Marley duly obliges.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth has his takedown stuffed and Marley counters with a left and a right that stings Kruth. Kruth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kruth gets the takedown into side control. Marley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. I wouldn't like to be where Marley is right now. Kruth working away. Kruth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Marley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marley is trying is best to control the position here. Kruth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Marley knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kruth is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Marley is trying to stand back up but Kruth is controlling him
Kruth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marley keeps working. Kruth passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Marley! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marley is squirming around, avoiding Kruth's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Marley dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kent Kruth's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Marley throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kruth fails with the takedown and Marley counters with a nice uppercut. Kruth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Marley fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Marley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bob Marley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kent Kruth. Marley shoots in but Kruth avoids the takedown attempt easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth fails with the takedown and Marley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kruth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marley swivels and escapes. Marley looks to land a combination but Kruth avoids it well. Bob Marley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Marley misses. Marley slaps away a takedown attempt from Kruth, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marley leaves Kruth with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Marley with a lazy takedown attempt and Kruth decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marley's guard. Kruth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marley is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marley has Kruth pulled in close to control his posture. Marley wants to sweep but no luck. Marley is trying to keep Kruth in close.
Kruth thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kruth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Marley wants to stand but Kruth is controlling the position. Kruth trying to move into half guard but instead Marley has managed to sweep! Marley is looking to stand up but Kruth won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kruth fails with a takedown attempt. Marley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Marley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Marley throws a big shot that misses. Marley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kruth. Kruth looks for a takedown but Marley sprawls well. Kruth bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kent Kruth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob Marley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kruth is looking to take a break and control but Marley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marley is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Kent Kruth comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Marley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
