Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Igor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Feer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Feer! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Feer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Feer dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Feer's head and hops out. Silva misses with a takedown and Feer counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. Silva working a defensive guard here.
Feer controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva wants to stand but Feer is controlling the position. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Feer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Feer connects with a couple of short punches. Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Feer manages to get himself to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Feer holds on and takes a little breather. Feer controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Feer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Silva throws a big right hand that misses. Feer controlling Silva's posture. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Feer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Feer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva is looking to slow Feer down with leg kicks. Silva has his takedown stuffed and Feer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Feer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Feer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Feer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Feer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Feer sitting in guard here, content to control. Feer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feer shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A head kick misses from Silva. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva with a poor takedown and Feer counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Silva keeping moving, preventing Feer from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Feer stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Feer controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Feer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Despite being in the dominant position, Josh Feer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Feer keeps the fight on the outside. Silva closes the distance looking to clinch and Feer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Feer with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Feer scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Feer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Josh Feer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Feer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Silva throws a head kick that Feer semi-blocks.

That's one minute gone in the round. Feer sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silva keeping full guard, as Feer tries to pass. Feer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Feer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Feer prevents Silva from escaping the position. Silva stops Feer from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is trying to control Feer's posture but Feer avoids it. Feer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Silva can't do much from the bottom here. Feer happy to just control the position for now. Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Feer trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well. Feer performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Igor Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Josh Feer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva misses with some strikes from the bottom.
