PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Guilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen Perry Mason as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marcos Romero was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Guilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Romero!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guilly manages to avoid it.
Guilly leaves Romero with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Guilly gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Guilly tries for a takedown but Romero manages to get underhooks.
Romero tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Romero is defended easily by Guilly.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guilly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
