Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Shelter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Persius Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Shelter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Persius Masters! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shelter is trying to defend but Masters finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Shelter keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Shelter is pressing down on Masters's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Masters landing some decent shots from guard. Masters won't allow Shelter to sweep him here. Masters working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Shelter's head. Shelter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shelter trying to control the action but Masters is working from the bottom. Shelter with the ground and pound but Masters uses the opportunity to regain guard. Shelter trying to control but Masters is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Masters can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masters pulls Shelter in close to prevent any damage. Shelter wants to control from the top but Masters keeps moving. Shelter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shelter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shelter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Masters keeping moving, preventing Shelter from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Masters wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Shelter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shelter lands a couple of digs. Shelter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Masters is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shelter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shelter advances position into side control! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. A lull in the action here. Check out the look on Shelter's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Masters is trying to control Shelter's posture but Shelter avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shelter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Shelter scores with punches from side control. Masters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shelter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Masters tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shelter is trying to get an arm triangle but Masters is defending well. Masters tries to bench press Shelter off him but Shelter keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Shelter dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Masters looks for a takedown but Shelter sprawls well. Masters looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Shelter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Masters is one step ahead there. Masters content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Shelter has locked up a guillotine! Shelter's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Masters is holding on here and Shelter must be using up a lot of energy. Masters has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Shelter gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
