Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Albuquerque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otavio Arlindo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Albuquerque's entrance music is CONQUISTANDO O IMPOSSIVEL. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Albuquerque! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Otavio Arlindo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlindo drives through and clinches with Albuquerque against the cage.
Arlindo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Albuquerques head. Arlindo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Albuquerque fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Arlindo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Albuquerque shoots in but no luck this time. Albuquerque looks for a takedown but Arlindo sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Albuquerque. That's going to take a lot out of him. Arlindo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Arlindo duly obliges. Arlindo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Albuquerque is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arlindo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Arlindo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Arlindo tries to bum rush Albuquerque with a series of wild strikes but Albuquerque uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Albuquerque misses with a takedown attempt and Arlindo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Albuquerque! Arlindo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Albuquerque wants to hold on but Arlindo pushes him away. Arlindo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Arlindo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Arlindo is taking a breather. Albuquerque says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Albuquerque wants to get back to full guard but Arlindo has mounted him! Albuquerque is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Albuquerque fails with the takedown and Arlindo counters with a head kick. That will keep Albuquerque thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Arlindo lands a high kick!

Albuquerque is rocked! Arlindo postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Albuquerque to stand up. Arlindo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Albuquerque. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Arlindo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Arlindo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Albuquerque is trying to defend but Arlindo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Arlindo moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Albuquerque. Arlindo stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Albuquerque shoots and misses and Arlindo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Arlindo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Arlindo controlling the action here. Arlindo is nestled in close to Albuquerque, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Albuquerque actively working from the bottom here. Arlindo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Arlindo looks to throw the jab but Albuquerque is out of range. Arlindo works over Albuquerque's head and body with a nice combination. Albuquerque with a poor takedown and Arlindo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Albuquerque's guard now. Arlindo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Albuquerque isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Arlindo stacks Albuquerque on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Arlindo! Arlindo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Albuquerque to see if he's OK. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Arlindo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Albuquerque to his feet.

Arlindo throws a series of punches but Albuquerque avoids them all with ease. Arlindo throws a right hand that Albuquerque ducks under and follows up with a left that Albuquerque also avoids with ease. Arlindo throws a nice head kick!

Albuquerque is looking to regain half guard here but Arlindo keeps moving and retains side control. Arlindo stands up and beckons Albuquerque to his feet. Albuquerque shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Arlindo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Albuquerque. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Arlindo manages to break the clinch.

Arlindo stands up and beckons Albuquerque to join him on the feet. Arlindo takes the fight into the clinch. Albuquerque has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Arlindo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Arthur Albuquerque has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Arlindo has Albuquerque pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Arlindo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Albuquerque tumbling to the mat - Arlindo dives into Albuquerque's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Albuquerque working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arlindo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arlindo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! Otavio Arlindo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Arlindo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
