Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrique Fudencio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinya Aoki looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shinya Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aoki looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Aoki closes the distance and clinches.
Fudencio tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aoki just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fudencio has had enough of the clinch but Aoki keeps him there for the moment.

Fudencio is trying to drag Aoki to the mat but Aoki just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fudencio throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Aoki manages to pass to side control.

Fudencio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fudencio throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Aoki escapes and throws Fudencio's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Shinya Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Aoki uses his free foot to push down on Fudencio's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fudencio.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fudencio has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Aoki lands a shot to the head.
Fudencio is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Aoki gets his way!
Aoki has one arm under Fudencio 's neck. Fudencio is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Aoki manages to get his arm free though and Fudencio is in a world of trouble! Aoki sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Fudencio turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
