Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Stenquist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenquist's entrance music is "Battle On' - War of Ages. A fine choice. Paul has chosen Drop the World as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stenquist scores with a punch to the head.
Stenquist forces Paul back against the cage and clinches.
Stenquist doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Paul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paul shoots in but no luck this time.
Stenquist misses with a double jab.
Stenquist throws a combination. Paul tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Paul takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Stenquist goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stenquist scores with a three punch combo!
A head kick misses from Stenquist.
Stenquist defending well as Paul loads up on a big left hand.
Paul tries to clinch
and Stenquist counters with a nice body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Paul misses with a kick to the body
and Stenquist counters with a head kick that drops Paul to the mat! Paul scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Paul is rocked!
Stenquist fails to land with a series of punches.
Paul is still on wobbly legs! Can Stenquist finish him?
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Stenquist! Paul is out on his feet! Stenquist rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Paul is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Paul is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Stenquist!
