Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kei Katsuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Katsuro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drake/Travis Barker - Forever Remix!. Williams has chosen River Below by Billy Talent as his entrance music. Ken Kei Katsuro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kei Katsuro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Williams! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Williams looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Decent striking displayed by Katsuro there. Katsuro throws a nice outside leg kick. Katsuro avoids the head kick by Williams.
Katsuro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Katsuro moves into the clinch. Katsuro pulls guard effortlessly. Williams stopping the sweep attempt from Katsuro. Katsuro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Williams is aware though and is defending well. Williams stops Katsuro from standing up. Katsuro will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Katsuro has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though. Katsuro is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Katsuro is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katsuro wants to stand up but Williams is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Katsuro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Williamsis looking to pass into half guard but Katsuro pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Katsuro is in guard. Williams working a defensive guard but Katsuro passes into half guard.
Katsuro is looking to advance position but Williams won't allow it. Katsuro controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams is trying to control but can't.
Williams is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Katsuro is staying active. Katsuro wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy. Williams wants to control the action here but instead Katsuro manages to pass to full mount! Williams wants to hold on but Katsuro pushes him away. Katsuro stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katsuro clinches with his opponent.
Katsuro landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Katsuro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Katsuro forces Williams back against the cage and clinches. Katsuro manages to break the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Katsuro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the cage. Katsuro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Williams gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Williams trying to control the position.
Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Katsuro tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams wants to sweep but no luck. Williams working a defensive guard but Katsuro manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Katsuro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Williams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Williams is concentrating on defense, preventing Katsuro from advancing position. Williams gets full guard. Williams managing to control the position. Williams wants to control the position but Katsuro says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Kei Katsuro dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Williams moves out of range of the body kick. Katsuro clinches up against the cage. Katsuro is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Williams can't fight it off and eventually Katsuro manages to take the fight to the floor. Williams looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Williams wants to stand and escape but Katsuro is having none of it. Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Katsuro is one step ahead there. Williams is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Williams looking to control but Katsuro passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katsuro stalling. Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Katsuro not doing much here.
It looks like Katsuro is going to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Katsuro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Katsuro trying to control but he's not successful this time. Williams is trying to reverse the position but instead Katsuro has taken his back - oops! Williams is really stuck here.
Williams breaks Katsuro's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Katsuro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Katsuro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Katsuro is tightening it up a little... Williams has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Williams reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Williams taps out! nice BJJ there by Katsuro!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ken Kei Katsuro!
