Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giorgio Petrosyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shynia Tamasako! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrosyan throws a right and a left that both miss. Tamasako shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Petrosyan as he avoids it easily. Petrosyan clinches up against the cage. Tamasako wants to break the clinch but can't.
Petrosyan lands a good knee to the midsection. Tamasako won't want to take too many of those. Tamasako jumps guard but Petrosyan stands there with Tamasako around his waist. Tamasako gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tamasako shoots for a takedown but Petrosyan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Petrosyan closes the distance and clinches. Petrosyan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tamasako pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tamasako wants a takedown but no success here.

Tamasako looks to clinch and Petrosyan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Petrosyan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tamasako pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tamasako throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Petrosyan's waist but Petrosyan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tamasako off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
