Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manel Pimpolho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emilio Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manel Pimpolho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emilio Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia looks for the body kick but Pimpolho saw that one coming.
Pimpolho is breathing heavily.
Garcia bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Garcia has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Garcia shoots in and bounces Pimpolho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pimpolho controls Garcia momentarily but Garcia frees himself.
Garcia throws and elbow that misses. Pimpolho uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Garcia's guard. Nice move by Pimpolho!
Pimpolho wants to stand and escape but instead Garcia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia gets to his feet. Pimpolho looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Pimpolho gets caught flat footed, as Garcia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Garcia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garcia drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Garcia as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Pimpolho screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Garcia! Nice submission victory there!
