The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Valdez.
Sato tries to score a power double leg takedown but Valdez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sato somewhat.

Valdez throws a right and a left that Sato avoids nicely.
Valdez throws a series of strikes that have Sato backpedaling.
It looks like Rumina Sato has been cut.
Rumina Sato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valdez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Sato moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
