Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Mo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrian Ashoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Mo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Mo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrian Ashoka! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ashoka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mo moves away. Ashoka thows a body shot but no joy. Ashoka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mo was well out of range. Poor timing from Ashoka. Mo misses with a low kick. Ashoka scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like King Mo has been cut. Ashoka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ashoka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ashoka missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mo is in trouble now - Ashoka has advanced to mount! Mo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ashoka on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashoka is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mo! Ashoka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ashoka trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ashoka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mo is one step ahead there. Mo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. King Mo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mo misses with a combination
so Ashoka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashoka with a flurry of punches that miss. Ashoka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mo is keeping the position for now. Mo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mo tries to get out of the position. Mo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ashoka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mo pulls Ashoka in close to his closed guard and prevents Ashoka from doing any damage or advancing position. Ashoka wants to pass the guard but Mo is keeping the position. Mo trying to keep a closed guard but Ashoka is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ashoka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mo misses with a low kick.

and Ashoka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mo's guard. Ashoka in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darrian Ashoka dominated that round. The cut man is working on King Mo's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Ashoka counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mo! Ashoka throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Ashoka misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ashoka lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ashoka looking to ground and pound but Mo is blocking nicely. Ashoka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mo is looking to get to half guard. Darrian Ashoka has got the better of the ground game so far. Ashoka is in the full mount, landing strikes. Mo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ashoka.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mo in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mo is rocked!
King Mo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Ashoka is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ashoka with shots to the head and body - Mo looks very uncomfortable down there. Oh Mo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, King Mo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at King Mo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Darrian Ashoka!
