The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niswender rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Metallen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Metallen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Metallen shoots in for a double leg but Niswender sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Niswender throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Metallen.

Niswender avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Niswender lands with a hook. Metallen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Metallen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Niswender pinned against the cage. Niswender gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Niswender fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Metallen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Metallen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Niswender sprawls well. Niswender wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Metallen gets slowly back to his feet.

Metallen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Niswender fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Metallen has his hands clasped together but Niswender extends an breaks Metallen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Niswender.
