The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
apples lands a really nice looking cross but Edwards seems unphased.

apples closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
apples is keen to just control but Edwards is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

apples is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Edwards can do anything to dispel that myth.
Edwards wants to control but apples is keeping busy and won't allow it.

apples seems to be working for a kimura but Edwards defends the submission attempt.
Edwards has a hand on apples's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. apples takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
