Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Kesler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Pamatigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kesler is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No luck for Pamatigan with that takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pamatigan is defended easily by Kesler. Kesler wants to clinch up but Pamatigan keeps it at a distance. Kesler drives through and clinches with Pamatigan against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Kesler gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kesler is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kesler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pamatigan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kesler. Pamatigan wants to control but Kesler is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kesler is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kesler trying to pass the guard but Pamatigan defending well. Kesler performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kesler stands up out of the half guard. Pamatigan shoots in and drives through. Kesler sprawls well. Alex Kesler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Pamatigan. Pamatigan pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pamatigan looks gassed! Kesler is looking to clinch. Kesler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kesler closes the distance and clinches. Kesler lands a good knee to the midsection. Pamatigan won't want to take too many of those. Stalling in the clinch from Pamatigan.
Kesler lands a nice elbow. Kesler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pamatigan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kesler as he jumps to the side. Kesler closes the distance and clinches. Kesler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kesler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pamatigan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Shane Pamatigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pamatigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kesler moves into the clinch. Kesler unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pamatigan lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Pamatigan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kesler walks away with a smile on his face. Pamatigan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kesler tries to clinch but Pamatigan is having none of it. Kesler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pamatigan.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kesler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kesler lands a nice knee to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kesler obliges. Kesler breaks from the clinch.
Kesler moves into range and clinches up with Pamatigan. Kesler is trying to trip Pamatigan. He has hold of a leg but Pamatigan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kesler persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kesler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pamatigan, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pamatigan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kesler tries to clinch but Pamatigan is having none of it. Pamatigan shoots for a double leg takedown but Kesler sprawls well. He's pushed Pamatigan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kesler moves in looking to clinch but Pamatigan pushes him off. Pamatigan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kesler checks it well. The fight moves into the clinch position. Pamatigan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kesler walks away with a smile on his face. Pamatigan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pamatigan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Alex Kesler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pamatigan shoots in and drives through. Kesler sprawls well. Alex Kesler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Pamatigan. Kesler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Pamatigan is breathing heavily. A solid leg kick lands there for Kesler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kesler throws a sloppy head kick and Pamatigan moves out of range easily. Kesler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pamatigan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kesler lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kesler moves into range and clinches up with Pamatigan. Kesler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kesler looks to land a combination but Pamatigan avoids it well. Pamatigan darts in trying to clinch enabling Kesler to counter with a crisp jab. Pamatigan tries to keep at a distance but Kesler has taken the fight into the clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Kesler.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kesler gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pamatigan.
Kesler softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kesler lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Pamatigan wants to stall.
Kesler crunches a lovely knee into Pamatigan's ribcage. Kesler manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kesler wants to stand and escape but Pamatigan is having none of it. Kesler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Kesler is looking for a triangle but Pamatigan pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kesler controls Pamatigan momentarily but Pamatigan frees himself. Pamatigan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kesler works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kesler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kesler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kesler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pamatigan is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pamatigan - that will leave a mark!
Pamatigan with a poor takedown and Kesler moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Kesler dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Pamatigan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kesler sprawls well. Kesler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pamatigan gets slowly back to his feet. Kesler leaves Pamatigan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kesler tries to clinch and Pamatigan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kesler makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kesler. Kesler controlling the position. Pamatigan wants to control from the top but Kesler keeps moving. Pamatigan being controlled here momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kesler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kesler wants to get back to his feet but Pamatigan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kesler controls Pamatigan momentarily but Pamatigan frees himself. Pamatigan is stalling in the full guard. Pamatigan stands up from guard. Let's bang! Kesler takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pamatigan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Kesler fails in his attempt to clinch. Kesler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pamatigan. Kesler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pamatigan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kesler scores with a jab to the head.
Pamatigan misses with a head kick.
Kesler doesn't manage to clinch there - Pamatigan circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kesler closes the distance and pushes Pamatigan back into the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Kesler. Pamatigan wants a takedown.

That will wear on Pamatigan if he has to take too many more of those.
Pamatigan tries to keep at a distance but Kesler has taken the fight into the clinch. Shane Pamatigan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alex Kesler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kesler breaks from the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Shane Pamatigan. Well Kesler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
