Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boom Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ferrante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferrante looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boom is fending him off so far but Ferrante persists. Nope, Boom circles away and we're back to standing. Ferrante is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Boom Boom has been cut. Boom misses with a takedown attempt and Ferrante counters with a leg kick. Adam Ferrante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ferrante tries to close the distance and clinch but Boom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Boom darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ferrante is looking for a sweep. Boom is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ferrante is looking to control Boom's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ferrante avoid being mounted? Boom content to control rather than advance. Ferrante is trying to maintain the position but Boom is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ferrante is trying to get back to full guard. Boom will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ferrante has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boom is working away from the top position though. Boom content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferrante is refusing to be controlled, as Boom sits in half guard. Ferrante moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Boom Boom just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ferrante with a poor takedown and Boom counters by clinching up. Boom gets through Ferrante's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ferrante tries to break the clinch but Boom is controlling the position. Ferrante is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ferrante is trying to force a seperation but Boom has the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferrante ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ferrante no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ferrante looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boom seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ferrante working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ferrante misses with a takedown attempt and Boom decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ferrante's guard. Boom Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Ferrante. Boom scoring with punches to the head and body. Boom stands up over Ferrante, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boom postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Boom is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Boom wants to control from the top but Ferrante keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ferrante closes the distance but Boom moves to the side and Boom counters with a takedown into side control. A lull in the action here as Boom stalls from top position. Ferrante sneaks back into half guard. Boom wants to take a breather but Ferrante is having none of it. Boom is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Boom is looking to take a break and control but Ferrante is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boom is taking a breather. Ferrante says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Boom Boom just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ferrante fails with the takedown and Boom counters by clinching up. Ferrante tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ferrante is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom presses Ferrante against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A frustrated look appears on Ferrante's face as he tries to break the clinch. Boom avoiding damage as Ferrante throws knees to the body.
Boom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ferrante looks to clinch and Boom counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ferrante! Ferrante tries to hold on but Boom postures up. Boom looking to control but Ferrante is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Boom is really struggling to control Ferrante but he's trying to hold on to the position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferrante is in a horrible position here. Boom smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Ferrante didn't expect that. Boom throwing strikes but missing. Boom trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferrante is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ferrante is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ferrante looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boom is one step ahead there. Ferrante tries to avoid it but Boom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ferrante to the ground. Ferrante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferrante throws an overhand right that lands on Boom's shoulder, as Boom tries to avoid the shot. Ferrante looks to clinch and Boom counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ferrante tries to get to full guard but Boom has control of the leg. Boom is taking a breather. Ferrante says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ferrante is not content to let Boom control the position. Boom looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ferrante slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Boom postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom Boom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boom won't allow Ferrante to sweep him here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Boom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ferrante looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boom looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ferrante has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boom won't allow Ferrante to sweep him here.
And that's the end of the fight! Boom Boom showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boom, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
