Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SaioG Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, SaioG Snake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Santiago! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake avoids a kick to the body.
Santiago keeps the fight on the outside. SaioG Snake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santiago leaves Snake with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Snake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Snake tries to keep at a distance but Santiago has taken the fight into the clinch. Snake tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Snake wants to stall.
Santiago keeps control of Snake as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Snake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Santiago smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santiago shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Snake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Snake is looking for a triangle but Santiago pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santiago trying to control but Snake is working from the bottom. Snake is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Santiago lands a couple of decent looking shots. Santiago lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Santiago wants to control from the top but Snake keeps moving. Santiago missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snake looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santiago gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Santiago clinches. Snake tries to pull guard but Santiago holds him up against the cage and eventually Snake drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for SaioG Snake. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santiago stops a takedown attempt from Snake.

Santiago displaying some good clinch control by pressing Snake up against the cage. Snake is working for takedown but Santiago is calmly controlling the position for now. Santiago throws a knee to the head but misses.
Santiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Santiago counters with a single leg into guard. Snake didn't expect that. Snake is breathing heavily. Santiago is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Snake keeping moving, preventing Santiago from controlling successfully. Santiago decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Snake, up you get! Santiago wants to clinch up but Snake keeps it at a distance. Santiago shoots in and bounces Snake off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Snake is keeping the position for now. Santiago decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Snake swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Santiago, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Snake shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Santiago counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santiago looking to sit in guard and control but Snake gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Santiago dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santiago looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Snake kicks off Santiago and gets to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Santiago. Santiago has knee on belly and moves into mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Snake tries to lock up and control but Santiago gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santiago wants to take Snake's back here but Snake is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santiago trying to control but he's not successful this time. Santiago avoids the attempt from Snake to control. Santiago controlling from the full mount. Snake tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Santiago sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Santiago lands a big shot there that rocks Snake but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Santiago get's back to his feet. Snake shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Santiago's guard. Santiago manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Snake manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Santiago trying to control but Snake is working from the bottom. Snake has a closed guard, preventing Santiago from standing up. Snake is trying to control the position but Santiago postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Santiago wants to control from the top but Snake keeps moving. Santiago thows a big elbow that misses. Santiago slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Santiago wants to control from the top but Snake keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Snake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Santiago decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Snake's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Santiago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Snake closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santiago to the mat! Santiago manages to get full guard. Santiago wants to stand up but Snake is controlling him. Snake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Snake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santiago swivels though and keeps the full guard. Santiago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Snake working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake wants to control from the top but Santiago keeps moving. Santiago looking for a guillotine here but Snake defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Snake throws a head kick but Santiago moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Snake fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Santiago lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Santiago darts in and clinches Snake up against the cage. Snake is trying to stall.

Snake drops down looking for an ankle pick but Santiago pulls his leg out and moves away.
Santiago shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Snake napping and manages to drive through into side control! Santiago controlling the position from side mount. Santiago working away. Snake seems a little lost for a moment, as Santiago dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snake manages to get back to half guard. Santiago takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Snake won't allow Santiago to pass to mount. Santiago stands up out of the half guard. Santiago is looking to slow Snake down with leg kicks. Santiago is looking to clinch but Snake is avoiding it.
Snake's corner calls for a 1-2. Snake obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Snake throws a head kick that misses. SaioG Snake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Antonio Santiago is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Snake takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
And that's the end of the fight! Antonio Santiago comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Santiago has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
