Rubert Kuminauha could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Danny Ramirez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez drives through and clinches with Kuminauha against the cage.
Ramirez can't break the clinch.
Kuminauha goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ramirez prevents it.

Ramirez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kuminauha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kuminauha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kuminauha jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ramirez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ramirez throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Kuminauha is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ramirez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ramirez!
Ramirez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuminauha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ramirez stands up and waves to Kuminauha to follow him.

Kuminauha misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Kuminauha goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ramirez turns into him and now he's in Kuminauha's guard.

Ramirez stands up from Kuminauha's guard - Ramirez perhaps looking for a knockout.
No luck for Kuminauha with that takedown attempt.
Ramirez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ramirez lands a jab to the head.
Danny Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramirez misses with a two punch combination.
Kuminauha looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rubert Kuminauha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramirez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kuminauha fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ramirez tries to clinch but Kuminauha is having none of it.

Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kuminauha paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ramirez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kuminauha at a distance.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ramirez swings for the body but Kuminauha moves out of range.

Kuminauha shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramirez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kuminauha won't allow Ramirez to get back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kuminauha drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ramirez dives on top into guard.

Kuminauha looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ramirez wants to stand but Kuminauha is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kuminauha is pulling down on Ramirez's head. It's preventing any offense from Ramirez, at least for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kuminauha pushes a forearm under Ramirez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ramirez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rubert Kuminauha!
