A fine choice. Frohman has chosen He's Always Abe Frohman as his entrance music. Abe Frohman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frohman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hinds tries to avoid it but Frohman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hinds to the ground. Hinds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hinds tries a head kick but it misses.
Brent Hinds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frohman avoids the head kick by Hinds.
Frohman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hinds pinned against the cage. Hinds gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hinds tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Frohman shoots for a takedown but Hinds saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brent Hinds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Frohman.
Frohman blocks a head kick by Hinds.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hinds. That's going to slow Frohman down.
Frohman has a takedown stuffed.

Hinds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Frohman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hinds passes into side control.

Hinds is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Frohman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Frohman is looking to regain half guard here but Hinds keeps moving and retains side control.

Hinds tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hinds has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Frohman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Frohman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hinds pulls his head out easily.

Hinds is looking for a kimura but Frohman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hinds to get the leverage.

Hinds looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Frohman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hinds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Frohman is trying to get back to full guard.

Hinds has hold of Frohman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Frohman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Frohman is desperately trying to improve his position but Hinds has a good base and remains in mount.

Hinds is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Hinds!
