Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Bunnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Leroy Jenkins has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leroy Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cody Bunnell!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bunnell sprawls well. Bunnell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jenkins gets slowly back to his feet.
Bunnell takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Bunnell looks gassed!
Bunnell shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bunnell takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A jab from Jenkins does it's job there.
Jenkins is looking to clinch but Bunnell is avoiding it.

and Bunnell counters with a single leg into guard. Jenkins didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jenkins wants to stand and escape but Bunnell is having none of it.

Jenkins wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bunnell is now in half guard.
Jenkins is trying to stand.
Jenkins tries to roll over but Bunnell keeps him under control.
Jenkins flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bunnell performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bunnell swats away the attempt to clinch by Jenkins.
Bunnell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jenkins.
Bunnell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jenkins pushes Bunnell away with a front kick.
Jenkins shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bunnell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leroy Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jenkins looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bunnell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jenkins is trying to escape back to his feet but Bunnell uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jenkins is trying to buck Bunnell off.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jenkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bunnell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Leroy Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bunnell tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bunnell to the ground. Bunnell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bunnell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cody Bunnell will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jenkins lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jenkins.
Bunnell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jab, jab by Jenkins - just one landing.
Jenkins looks to land a combination but Bunnell avoids it well.
Jenkins throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Jenkins tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bunnell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jenkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jenkins tries to escape but Bunnell is in control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jenkins misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Bunnell in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Bunnell is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jenkins will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jenkins is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Bunnell just content to control the position.

You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jenkins misses with a jab, cross combination.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

so Bunnell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jenkins wants to control the position but Bunnell says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Jenkins is trying to stand.
Jenkins is trying to control but Bunnell passes into side control!
Jenkins is trying to buck Bunnell off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bunnell staying calm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cody Bunnell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jenkins throws a head kick but Bunnell moves out of range.

and Bunnell counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jenkins!
Jenkins tries to lock up and control but Bunnell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jenkins is trying to reverse the position but instead Bunnell has taken his back - oops!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bunnell avoiding Jenkins 's attempts to control his hands.
Bunnell slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Jenkins is trying to stand back up.
What can Jenkins do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jenkins just trying to survive but Bunnell is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jenkins is working hard here to advance position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Jenkins is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Jenkins wants to control his opponent's hands but Bunnell gets his hands free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leroy Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bunnell is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Cody Bunnell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bunnell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
