Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh JC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Manny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JC comes to the cage accompanied by Smashmouth - Why Cant We Be Friends. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh JC! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manny Manny! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! JC drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. JC sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Manny is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
JC has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Manny manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manny can do anything to dispel that myth. Manny blocking the ground and pound attempt from JC. Manny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with JC. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. JC throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. JC lands a nice short elbow. JC is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
JC looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
JC wants to work for an arm triangle but Manny is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. JC is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Manny defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manny pushes JC off looking to stand but JC dives back in and keeps control.
JC moves into full mount! Manny won't be happy about that! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. JC avoids the attempt from Manny to control. JC goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Manny turns into him and now he's in JC's guard.
Manny preventing the sweep. JC looking for a guillotine here but Manny defends easily.
Manny wants to get up but he can't break JC's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. JC is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Manny defends well. JC looking to sweep here. No luck so far. JC working for a triangle but Manny defends it easily.
JC is breathing heavily. Manny gets to his feet. JC looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Manny throws a right and a left that both miss. Manny displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from JC.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manny lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but JC circles away quickly and effectively. Manny wants to clinch up but JC keeps it at a distance. Manny stuffs the takedown attempt from JC. JC gets slowly back to his feet. Manny lands a slapping body shot.
JC walks into a left hand. Nice takedown defense from Manny. No joy for JC on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh JC. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manny throws a wild body kick that JC sees coming a mile off. Manny misses with a body shot.
Manny slips a jab and a cross from JC.
Manny gets a takedown into half guard. Manny decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manny fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
JC fails with the takedown. JC shoots for a takedown but Manny saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. JC misses with a straight right. Manny has a takedown stuffed. JC misses with a body shot.
Manny Manny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. JC gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Manny misses with a double jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Manny misses the jab. JC fails with an attempt to clinch.
JC bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Manny Manny will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
JC closes the distance and clinches up with Manny, looking for a takedown. JC pushes Manny against the cage but Manny circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Manny throws a series of punches but JC moves out of range. JC lands with an overhand left. Manny with a nice cross. Manny takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. JC takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Manny swats away the attempt to clinch by JC. Manny misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Manny looks to land a combination but JC avoids it well. Manny falls off balance throwing a combination
and JC counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Manny with a lazy takedown attempt and JC counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Manny! Manny is breathing heavily. JC scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Josh JC overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. A nice elbow there by JC. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! JC looking to control but Manny is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. JC with good strikes from the mount here! Manny defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from JC. JC postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Manny badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of JC around the waist but JC pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! JC is the winner by TKO! JC jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh JC! Josh JC is the new light heavyweight champion!
