The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O McMacElveney.
Hanks lands with a shot to the body.
O McMacElveney slips a jab and a cross from Hanks.
Hanks scores with a nice right hand.
Hanks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hanks sizes up O McMacElveney with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O McMacElveney tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hanks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - O McMacElveney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hanks throws a head kick but O McMacElveney moves out of range.
O McMacElveney shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hanks but Hanks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hanks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but O McMacElveney was well out of range. Poor timing from Hanks.

Finnegan O McMacElveney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hanks cracks O McMacElveney with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! O McMacElveney looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hanks finish him?

Hanks is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches O McMacElveney flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! O McMacElveney is out cold! Hanks holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
