The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asson shoots in but no luck this time.
A solid leg kick lands there for Smek.
Asson clinches up with Smek and pushes him back against the cage.

Smek wants to free his trapped foot but Asson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Smek takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Smek stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Asson to get to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Rollo Smek will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smek shoots in looking for a takedown. Asson tries to sprawl out of it but Smek keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Asson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smek shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Asson is pressed up against the cage. Smek has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Asson down to the mat. Asson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smek, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
