Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ahmed Hussein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Draven Bloodfist!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hussein looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Hussein wants to work for an arm triangle but Bloodfist is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hussein is working for a kimura but Bloodfist is defending it quite comfortably.
Bloodfist is looking to improve his position.
Bloodfist trying to hold on to Hussein's head to control him but Hussein postures up.
Hussein looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bloodfist gets full guard.
Bloodfist is trying to keep Hussein in close.
Hussein slips nicely into half guard.
Bloodfist trying to control but Hussein postures up.
Bloodfist punching from the bottom.
Bloodfist is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hussein stops Bloodfist from getting back to his feet.
Hussein passes to full mount!
Hussein can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bloodfist is looking to escape.

Hussein looking to secure an arm triangle but Bloodfist defends it well.
Bloodfist regains half guard.
Bloodfist trying to control from the bottom.
Bloodfist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hussein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bloodfist is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Bloodfist is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bloodfist is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hussein pulls his head out easily.
Bloodfist has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hussein is working away from the top position though.
Hussein trying to control from half guard but Bloodfist is working away.
Bloodfist gets back to full guard.
Hussein sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bloodfist's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bloodfist is trying to control but can't.
Bloodfist gets full guard.
Bloodfist thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bloodfist keeping full guard, as Hussein tries to pass.
Hussein is breathing heavily.
Hussein trying to control the position from guard on top but Bloodfist is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hussein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hussein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bloodfist wants to sweep here but Hussein controlling him for the moment.
Bloodfist wants to improve his position but instead Hussein has moved into half guard.
Hussein could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hussein uses his free foot to push down on Bloodfist's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bloodfist.
Bloodfist tries to reverse the position but Hussein maintains control.

Hussein looking to secure an arm triangle but Bloodfist defends it well.

Hussein looking for a guillotine from mount but Bloodfist is having none of it.
Bloodfist is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hussein working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bloodfist looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hussein! Submission of the night perhaps?
