Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Desailly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Muay Thai!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Desailly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thai stops Desailly from passing to mount.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Thai throws a quick inside leg kick.
Thai throws a head kick that Desailly semi-blocks.
Desailly shoots in looking for a takedown. Thai tries to sprawl out of it but Desailly keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Thai closes the distance and clinches.
Desailly is looking to break free of the clinch but Thai has double underhooks.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Desailly as Thai tries to tie him up.
Desailly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Thai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Desailly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thai manages to avoid it.
Desailly leaves Thai with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thai misses with a head kick.
Anderson Desailly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Thai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Desailly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Thai rushes Desailly and presses him up against the cage.

Desailly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Desailly shoots for a double leg takedown but Thai sprawls well. He's pushed Desailly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thai tries to clinch up but Desailly circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Desailly tries to close the distance and clinch but Thai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Thai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Desailly won't allow Thai to get back to his feet.
Desailly is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Thai wants to stand up but Desailly is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thai is defended easily by Desailly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Desailly tries for a takedown but Thai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Thai is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Desailly is controlling him.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Desailly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
