Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Ruoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruoff comes to the cage accompanied by Virtual Insanity. Tim Ruoff has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Ruoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Les Norton!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruoff looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Norton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ruoff.
Norton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Norton with a strong takedown there and he's ended up in side control.

Ruoff is rocked!
Norton controls the position from side control.
I looks like Norton might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Ruoff tries to improve position but can't.
Norton has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ruoff wants to hold on but Norton pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruoff sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Norton in particular looking to stall.

Ruoff is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Norton pulls his head out easily.
Ruoff could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Still in half guard, Norton seems content to control.

Norton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Les Norton just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Norton dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ruoff is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck for Norton with that takedown attempt.
Norton connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ruoff - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
