Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Sayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nate Sayer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nate Sayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sterling Archer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sayer swats away the attempt to clinch by Archer.
No luck for Sayer with that takedown attempt.
Sayer shoots in for a double leg but Archer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sayer forces Archer back against the cage and clinches.

Archer breaks from the clinch.

Sayer moves into the clinch successfully.
Archer lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Nate Sayer has been cut.
Archer looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Archer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Archer wants to clinch but Sayer slips to the side

and Sayer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Archer's guard.
Sayer wants to control from the top but Archer keeps moving.
Sayer tries to stand but Archer is controlling from the bottom.
Archer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Archer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sayer moves into full guard.
Archer wants to get up but he can't break Sayer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Archer throws a big right hand that misses.
Archer trying to control but Sayer is working from the bottom.
Sayer throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Sayer keeping moving, preventing Archer from controlling successfully.

Archer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Archer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Archer tries to clinch but Sayer moves away

and Sayer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sayeris looking to pass into half guard but Archer pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Archer is in guard.

Archer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sayer is breathing heavily.
No luck for Sayer with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Sayer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Archer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sayer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Archer.
Sayer fails with the takedown.
Archer wants to clinch

and Sayer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Archer's guard.
Archer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sayer's guard.

Archer drops back looking for a leg! Sayer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sayer manages to kick Archer off! Archer jumps back into Sayer's guard.

Archer advances to half guard.

Sayer actively working from the bottom here.

Archer is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sayer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sayer is staying active underneath Archer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Archer missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Archer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sayer defends it well.

Archer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Archer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sayer's head.
Sayer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Archer.

Archer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sayer is looking for a sweep. Archer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sayer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sayer tries to get out of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sayer is looking to control Archer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sayer avoid being mounted?

Archer is trying for a kimura here. Sayer looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Archer wins by kimura!
