Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ro! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson stalks Ro and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ro's face. Ro staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like David Ro has been cut. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ro as he jumps to the side. Ro tries to clinch up. Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ro tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ro. Jackson keeps the fight on the outside. Ro tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range. Ro fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jackson tries to bum rush Ro with a series of wild strikes but Ro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ro avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. David Ro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson misses with the combination.

Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ro tries to clinch and Jackson counters with a left and a right that stings Ro. Ro is looking to clinch. Ro forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches. Ro breaks the clinch.

Ro tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jackson is breathing heavily. Ro wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jackson advances to half guard. Ro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Ro tries to clinch up and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Ro didn't expect that. Jackson won't allow Ro to get back to his feet. Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Ro has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson stops Ro from standing up. Ro is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ro, up you get! Ro tries to clinch but Jackson moves away and Jackson counters with a left and a right that stings Ro. Ro is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.

Ro wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ro moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off. Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ro tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Jackson dominated that round. The cut man is working on David Ro's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ro is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ro really wants to buck Jackson off and get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ro's face.
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
