Maia comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Wandy Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Demian Maia's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maia.
Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maia.
Demian Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Wandy Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia.
Maia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Silva throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Maia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva cracks Maia with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.

Silva crunches a lovely knee into Maia's ribcage.
Maia looks gassed!
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Maia doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Maia.
It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
Silva seems to be stalking Maia here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Maia drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
