Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Troy Malaluga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Eliden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Troy Malaluga has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malaluga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Eliden pinned against the cage. Eliden gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Malaluga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eliden as he jumps to the side.
Malaluga closes this distance looking for a takedown but Eliden circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Malaluga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malaluga shoots in but Eliden avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Eliden moves in looking to clinch but Malaluga pushes him off.

Malaluga had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Eliden is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Malaluga Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Eliden's back instead.
Eliden manages to reverse the position and now he's in Malaluga's guard. Nice work there by Eliden.
Eliden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Malaluga's guard.

Eliden leaves Malaluga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Let's hope that Eliden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kane Eliden just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
