Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joshin feints and as Freebase raises his hands in defense, Joshin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Freebase keeping moving, preventing Joshin from controlling successfully.
Joshin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Freebase is keeping the position for now.
Joshin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joshin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Joshin wants to control from the top but Freebase keeps moving.
Joshin pushes down on Freebase's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Joshin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Freebase wants to control but Joshin is keeping busy.
Freebase is refusing to be controlled, as Joshin sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Freebase misses with a head kick.

Joshin slips a jab and a cross from Freebase.
Joshin gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joshin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Freebase is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Freebase can't do much from the bottom here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joshin tries to control but Freebase wriggling away.
Joshin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Freebase kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Freebase has given up his back. Will we see Joshin going for some submissions?
