The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cuba throws a series of punches but Sanders avoids them all with ease.
Swen cuba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanders blocks a head kick by cuba.
cuba misses with a jab, cross combination.
cuba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
cuba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanders is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but cuba pulls his head out easily.
cuba is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanders tries to get to full guard but cuba has control of the leg.
