The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buddha closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Palaver is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Buddha stands up and beckons Palaver to his feet.

and Buddha decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Palaver's guard.
Palaver wants to stand up but Buddha is controlling him.
Buddha drops back, looking for a kneebar! Palaver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Palaver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Palaver!
