PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Killstuff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Clarno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarno shoots for a takedown but Killstuff saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Killstuff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Killstuff wants it to stay on the feet.
Clarno looks for a takedown but Killstuff sprawls well.
Vladimir Killstuff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Clarno.

Killstuff drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Killstuff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clarno swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Killstuff seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clarno does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Killstuff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Killstuff connects with a nice short shot to Clarno's temple.
Clarno is refusing to be controlled, as Killstuff sits in half guard.

Killstuff is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Clarno doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Killstuff.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Clarno is not content to let Killstuff control the position.

Killstuff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Killstuff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clarno is trying to defend but Killstuff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Clarno is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Killstuff pulls his head out easily.

Killstuff is trying to control the action in half guard but Clarno is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Clarno manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Killstuff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Killstuff is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Killstuff extends the arm and Clarno is forced to tap!
