PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leopold Kalou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hollis Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalou comes to the cage accompanied by Beethoven - Symphony nº 9. Hollis Damon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Kalou not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damon trying to control the position from guard on top but Kalou is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kalou manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kalou jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Damon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Damon and Kalou has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Damon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalou. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Damon has eaten all the pies!

Kalou seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Damon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
