Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herman Wiliam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Herman Wiliam!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiliam drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
Davis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wiliam just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wiliam pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Davis moves into the clinch.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wiliam smiles and moves away.
Davis misses with a body kick.
Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Davis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Davis is desperately trying to improve his position but Wiliam has a good base and remains in mount.

Wiliam stalks Davis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Davis's face. Davis staggers backwards, shaken.
Dave Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wiliam lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Davis or not.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dave Davis will probably get the nod.

Herman Wiliam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wiliam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
